My editorial for our youth. .

In a the midst of terrorism, violence, injustice, brutality, problem and crisis that our country is facing nowadays our youth are the one who suffered more from it's consequences. And when these negative realities are presented to us, we felt mad, angry, guilty. Mad that our idea of beauty, order, harmony, justice and peace are destroyed. Angry that those few people think only of their selfish ends and think only of themselves instead of a common good, Angry that the value of fullness of life has been betrayed. Guilty that we seem to be so helpless against these evils. And sometimes, we just pretended to be blind and assumed that everything is fine and going very well as if none of these are really happening.

The youth is being tagged or labelled by Dr. Jose P. Rizal as "The hope of our Motherland" which we over-mentioned, heard and used in everyday conversation. But how come that nowadays, there are plenty of our youths who can't practice their right to be educated and nourished well because it now becomes a privilege or opportunity instead of a right. Some of them are just loitering around, seeking for food to eat and money to buy their necessities, working so hard at a very young age, standing or sitting along the streets or sidewalks just to ask or beg for alms. And what worst is some of them are doing nothing besides smoking, drinking, alcoholic beverages taking illegal drugs and other vices that they should refrain from. Because they think that these will help them escape from their problems and predicaments regardless of the fact that it will lead them to a temporary paradise also known as hell. Many youths seek to saved from this dilemma of increasing modern evils, from oppressive political forces and from the meaningless and absurdity of some of their experiences but why there are times that we kept on pretending to be blind.

So have we ever think or respond to this harsh realities? Have we even wonder on how many of them had been abused and degraded for so many times or have experienced betrayal, pain and suffering? Are they the one's who often called as the "Hope of our Motherland" Our future leaders and and Nation Builders of they are? Why they haven't given a chance to experience the things that they opt and ought to know? Have you ever realized how you could help them or what you can contribute to help them in your own little ways? Have you ever understand or realize how blessed or fortunate you are? Have you ever thinking lately?

After finding the answer to this question and realizing that you should be indeed thankful of what you have and be worthy of those privilege, have you able to know the things you should do in order for you to make a difference or even a change be the beginning of a brighter and progressive tomorrow. .
